Jaden Smith Encourages Fans to Ditch Meat

Last week, Jaden Smith, son of Hollywood celebs Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, encouraged more than eight million Twitter followers to ditch meat, one day at a time.

On September 06, 2019 Jaden tweeted on social media, "Dear Meat Eaters Let's Start Doing #MeatlessFridays Where We Don't Eat Meals That Include Meat For The Entire Day."

The tweet received more than 44,000 likes and 8,900 retweets and an outpouring number of support from followers.

One person commented: "Been thinking about giving up meat or at least cutting down for a while now, so this sounds like a solid first step."

Another person said: "This is such a good way of helping and possible for me without shaming meat-eaters who can't necessarily stick to vegan diets because of health issues."

And someone else chimed in with: "And then we keep doing meatless Monday and create this perfect duo just like that."

(That #soundslikeaplan!)

Jaden has been a huge advocate for the plant-based industry. He is already an investor in the plant-based company, Impossible Foods. And earlier this year, he opened a free pop-up vegan food truck (that he calls the 'I Love You' restaurant) in Los Angeles to feed the homeless in the Skid Row area. On his birthday, Jaden shared the news about the truck on Instagram, posting a photo and writing: "I Love You Restaurant is a movement that is all about giving people what they deserve - healthy, vegan food for free. He also founded the company, JUST Water—a company he founded with his dad to help with the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. #notallherowearcapes

With the motivation of this new generation, the future looks bright!
